Booked & Beyond began with a spreadsheet. Friends kept asking the same questions — which hotel in Lisbon, which day trip in Bali, where to eat in Bangkok that is not a tourist trap — and the answers kept getting copied and pasted into messages.
Eventually it made more sense to publish them. The spreadsheet became a blog, the blog became a small team of writers who travel constantly and are unusually opinionated about mattresses, queues and breakfast.
We are still small, still self-funded, and still writing only about places we have been to ourselves.
